Tamika Lawrence is a two-time Grammy-winning singer, writer, producer, and interdisciplinary performance maker working at the intersection of music, theater, and live art. Across 14 Broadway and Off-Broadway productions, including 9 Broadway shows—including Come From AwayDrag: The Musical, and Black No More—she has become known for a rare blend of powerhouse vocals, emotional precision, and darkly comic intelligence.

A four-time Grammy nominee and two-time Grammy winner for her contributions to the Dear Evan Hansen and The Greatest Showman soundtracks, Lawrence has built an acclaimed independent music career alongside her theater work, releasing the albums UGLYTwo Faced, and most recently Barely in the Calm House, a genre-bending project drawing from alt-rock, hip-hop, and soul.

Her original work, The Farewell, currently in development, expands that vision into a live cinematic music experience that fuses original music, film, and psychological storytelling. She also appears as a featured guest artist with symphonies nationwide, bringing her expansive vocal style and genre-crossing sensibility to concert stages across the country.

Whether on Broadway, in concert halls, or through her own experimental work, Lawrence’s artistry is defined by fearless vulnerability, theatrical imagination, and a voice that moves fluidly between spectacle and intimacy.
